Trusted Directions & Quantity and Dosage Matching

New functionality for spring 2010 allows Pharmacy Manager to use the prescribed directions from the electronic prescription message, whilst ensuring that the pharmacist retains clinical control. In addition, Pharmacy Manager will compare the dosage and quantity on the electronic prescription with the same item in the patient history. If the values are the same, the previous directions will be transferred onto the label; if they are different, the system will alert the pharmacist.

Pharmacy Manager’s flexible re-ordering algorithms are designed to give you maximum coverage against demand from minimal stock levels. Orders can be transmitted to all major suppliers via modem, paperless fax or broadband, while you continue dispensing.

Updates

Pharmacy Manager’s fast and reliable product file is produced and maintained by Cegedim Rx’s in house pharmacists. The product file contains the data and tariff rules that you need every time an item is dispensed, order or endorsed. You don’t need to spend valuable time running update disks as the file is updated automatically overnight.

Medicines Use Review

MURs help your patients to understand their therapy and identify side effects and changes that may be beneficial. Pharmacy Manager has built in support for MURs and makes it as quick and easy as possible for you to plan, execute and print the paperwork whilst consulting with your patient.

eBNF

eBNF integration with Pharmacy Manager provides you with the facility to launch a web browser to display appropriate web-based articles from both the BNF and BNF for children. You can search for any information in general and also have speedy access to medication articles for items that you are dispensing.

Intervention Recording

Pharmacy Manager enables you to record details as soon as the event has occurred, or at a later date, allowing you to focus on entering data into the system accurately.

Efficient Homes

Pharmacy Manager uses the details of the previous period to quickly generate prescription details for care home patients. For convenience and ease of use, the standard dispensing screen is used to make minor changes between periods and to allow mid-cycle changes. MAR charts and cassette sheets can be printed on to a wide selection of specialist stationary, or if you prefer, plain A4 paper.
